RTIC Hard Side Case Limited Lifetime Warranty
Manufacturer fully warrants against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the case by the original owner. The case is guaranteed to be water resistant up to 3 feet under water for 30 minutes. The warranty does not cover the foam or any contents of the case. Liability to manufacturer is limited only to the case and no contents. Case must be properly closed with no defects or damage to the O-ring gasket or valve to fully cover warranty. If the case breaks manufacturer will replace at no cost to you as long as you are the original owner of the case. Damaged handles, latches, valves, and gaskets can all be replaced and will be supplied at no charge in the case of any defect. To request parts you must have original receipt or purchase agreement and must have a return authorization number from RTIC. All warranty claims of any nature are barred if the carrying case has been altered or changed in any way.
RTIC Cooler, Travel, Drinkware & Accessories Warranty
This warranty is your exclusive warranty and there are no warranties that extend beyond the description contained here. The warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser and is not transferable and only applies if purchased directly from RTIC, on our website rticcoolers.com, or from RTIC as the seller on amazon.com.Click here to submit a Warranty Service request.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; (B) ALL OTHER IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND ANY LIABILITY NOT BASED UPON CONTRACT ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED AND EXCLUDED; AND (C) IN NO EVENT SHALL RTIC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER A CLAIM FOR SUCH DAMAGES IS BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE.
RTIC will either repair or replace any broken or defective product, at our sole option. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE PURCHASER.
If your request for warranty service is past the 30-Day Free Return Period, you will be responsible for the costs associated with shipping the defective item(s) to the RTIC Returns Service Center located in Houston TX. All warranty returns must be processed through our Online Return Center and must have a Return Material Authorization number (RMA#). Return shipping costs are at your expense and non-refundable. If it is determined that the returned item is not covered by the warranty, you will be charged a return shipping fee equal to 20% of the retail value of the returned item(s) subject to a $10 minimum charge. RTIC is not responsible items lost in transit.
Ice Retention Warranty: RTIC will replace or fix your cooler/drinkware if no ice is remaining after the minimum number of days/hours your coolers/drinkware should be holding ice based on the following control procedures. Please note we may require you to submit pictures of you performing the following control tests and provide us with the results. There are many variables that will affect ice retention including pre-chilling the cooler, the ice quality, ice quantity, type of ice, outside environment, exposure to sunlight, etc. Due to these variables, the ice retention can range from a couple of days and last up to 10+ days. The following are minimum days for warranty testing control testing.
- Pre chill and prepare the cooler/drinkware as outlined in our Ice Retention Guide Here
- Completely fill the cooler/drinkware with ice, close and lock the lid shut.
- Place the cooler/drinkware indoors at an average temperature of no more than 80 degrees.
- Lift the coolers once a day and shut the cooler within 30 seconds of opening.
- Utilizing the above process, your cooler/drinkware should have some ice remaining after the following number of days/hours:

Normal wear and tear (including chips and scratches, abrasions, discolorations or fading due to usage or exposure to sunlight or washing) is not covered by our warranty. Damage caused by abuse, misuse, neglect, unauthorized alterations or repairs, water damage or failure to follow recommended care and use instructions will not be covered by the warranty.
Factory seconds, discounted or second-hand products or products purchased from third party retailers such as those on Amazon or on eBay are not covered by our warranty.
Products used commercially, that are abused or misused, or products that are structurally altered or subject to undue stress beyond the physical limits of the materials are not covered under this warranty.
This warranty does not include any manufacturer responsibility for any consequential or incidental damages resulting from the use of the product or from any malfunction. Under no circumstance will RTIC be responsible for any amount of damages beyond the amount paid for the product at retail. RTIC will not be held liable for the contents of any cooler should it fail to operate as advertised.
The warranty shall not apply to any product, or component thereof, which is not returned according to our warranty policy and return procedures. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Please carefully review any online care instructions for proper use and care.
Proof of purchase must be provided upon request in order to verify warranty coverage. Please retain purchase receipts for your records.
RTIC reserves the right to change product models and designs without incurring any obligations to incorporate such changes into already complete products, or those in the hands of retailers or consumers. RTIC products repaired or replaced under warranty may or may not incorporate such changes.
