RTIC Outdoors
"From the Backyard to the Backcountry"
Houston, Texas (July 14, 2018) – RTIC Outdoors started in September 2015 as an online direct-to-consumer retailer of premium coolers and drinkware and rapidly grew to become a leading online brand. The Company is now positioned to disrupt the Outdoor Products Business with the announcement of its name change to RTIC Outdoors, the rollout of new outdoor products and the opening of its first Flagship Store in Houston Texas.
The name change reflects the company’s continued emphasis on offering premium outdoor products that consumers use from the backyard to the back country. Over the next several months RTIC will be launching a number of new products including grills, tents, chairs, back packs and more.
RTIC New Product Offerings
Grills, Tents, Totes, Chairs, Bags, Hard Cases & More"RTIC has built its brand by offering products consumers want at an exceptional value over our competitors’ products" said John Jacobsen, CEO & Founder of RTIC. "We have a large base of loyal consumers and brand advocates that enjoy using our products outdoors. It is only natural that we expand into new products that enhance the outdoor experience for our customers."
"We are also excited to announce the opening date of our 1st Flagship Store in Houston which is scheduled to open November 1, 2018" said Jacobsen
Drawing of RTIC’s Flagship Store Scheduled to Open November 1, 2018 in Houston, TX"I know in these times of disappearing brick-and-mortar stores it seems counter intuitive, but it isn’t that retail is dead, as roughly 85 percent of retail sales still takes place in brick-and-mortar locations, but traditional brick-and-mortar stores are disappearing because they simply aren’t modernizing their business models. These mall-type stores are faced with many challenges because they aren’t connecting with shoppers in the way they want to be connected with. We are seeing a blurring of the lines between what is really digital retail and what is brick-and-mortar retail. In order to be successful, retailers have to embrace the convergence of offline behavior and online media and use that effectively. This requires the interlacing of digital touch points and apps with the retailer’s physical presence" said Jacobsen.
Digital Touch Points Are Key to a Retailer’s Success
"Also, regardless of how convenient online shopping is, there are many consumers that like to visualize, try-out and feel the products before buying them which means brick-and-mortar stores are probably here to stay, at least in some capacity" said Jim Jacobsen, co-founder of RTIC.
RTIC expects to open at least 20 stores over the next couple of years. At these stores, you will find associates who will truly go out of their way to help you shop and answer questions, exclusives that you might not be able to snag online, and well-designed stores that turns shopping into an outdoor enthusiasts experience. And if a customer doesn’t want to carry out a big cooler or any item, we can ship it directly to the consumer for free, just like how the store operates online.
