Love the cooler, but the zipper has always been a problem until this summer when it broke. Had the cooler several years and am ordering another but apparently the zipper issue needs to be addressed

I spent a considerable amount of time reading reviews and doing my research on cooler: options, design, pros/cons, possible flaws... et al. I decided to go with the RTIC 12 Soft Pack Cooler to hold ice for longer than 5 mins in the extreme heat of the South West (avg 115f by noon) ... and for the conditions it holds ice for upto 24 hours, but I didn't even expect that, so total bonus! The cooler itself, is very sturdy, totally water-proof, very solid design, inside and out! The shoulder strap clips are a bit cheezy though, and I do use it! The zipper is stiff, but I've lubed it up as instructed and so far so good... I find it pulls best if I place the cooler on the counter to avoid and awkward angle, and rotate the cooler as I pull... opens and shuts no problem. So, for now absolutely thrilled with my choice for a daily use cooler, and look forward to exploring other products as my needs grow and change!
Love the color and cooler! Can’t wait to use it.
Love the colors, the cooling rating plus the fit and finish for the price . Its our second one and our go to cooler
i bought it for my daughter for her birthday to take on her boat, she just loves it!!
I gave this a 4 star because I bought this as a mother’s day gift. I'm sure the durability is there and craftsmanship, but it's not mine to use on the daily basis. I hope in the future that if someone buys this as a gift, RTIC WOULD INCLUDED all warranty, return, and RTIC contact info to the person/s receiving the item to eliminate the buyer from all the middle person contact. Thanks.
One of the best coolers on the market. Will buy this brand again
Cooler is great. Keeps your stuff cold and holds ice.
Loving my camo cooler. Been taking it out kayaking with friends, I got the 30can so it holds plenty of our drinks and snacks for a day’s trip. I got tired of being jealous of my other friend’s Rtic and how he always had it with him. It’s nice coming back from a backcountry camping trip to a cold one in the back of the truck.
Just brought this cooler to the beach and it definitely kept everything cold. Easy to clean & carry & solid construction. The zipper however...you need some serious brute strength to open/close. Only complaint is that it was a smooth easy glide.
I like the cooler (12 can size) It's a good size for our travels. Some cans and our sandwiches. We haven't put it through a hard text yet, but we think it will do just fine. Noting! The zipper is hard to close. You need to use the silicone jell and be a little careful when you close it. (2 hands) but if you wanted it to be water proof, it's going to be little hard to close.
I had been wanting a soft sided cooler for years. The price point was just outrageous or the cooler was crap. Then I found RTIC, these are amazing! I work outside & purchased the 40 can to use at work. It definitely keeps my drinks cold as well as my lunch. This year I got the 20 can to retake when I’m just out and about. You never know when you’ll need a cold bottle of H20. I couldn’t be without my cooler now.
the produce is compact, soft, and leakproof. The best feature is it Floats.
Loved cooler but after 2 years top seams came apart just like cheap cooler tilt it you get a bath. Paid too much for 2 year cooler. Actually just bought a 40 this year wish I would have done little more research and I would not have bought another one if I knew you only get one year warranty.
One of my employees bet against Brady, took the Lakers over the suns, and El Tri over the USMNT. $300 and now he took clippers over suns for another $100. Feeling guilty taking all his money so I bought him a Softside 30. He likes it so much he won’t bring it to work and get it dirty. He says it’s the nicest cooler he’s ever had!
The zipper is almost impossible to open or close. The bag is great but the zipper needs serious modification We hardly us this bag because of the zipper.
Was a great cooler . Until the seal on the lid all came loose. This is above the zipper. Where it attaches to the lid. Had to duct tape is on . Only thing I had in it was ice. Havent check with store yet about the warranty.
This is the perfect size for me. Had it in the vehicle yesterday in 95 degree temps and kept everything cool and crisp.
I like the idea of the product is soft, manageable, leakproof, and it floats. the best part that it floats.
Use the new 20 Can Soft Pack this last week while Umpiring baseball in the Florida Panhandle. Temps were in the mid to upper 80 and very high humidity and plenty of sunshine through out the day. Cooler did a very good job keeping the items inside cold despite being in direct sunlight most of the day, even maintained some solid ice chucks all day. The zipper closure seemed to seal the cooler well, until when carrying the cooler, I bent over and felt some water running out on my side. So it does not totally seal as I was lead to believe. It is still much better than what I was using and I will continue to utilize the cooler on the fields. Price, size, weight, capacity all are a plus.
